Reflecting on Machu Picchu: Trekking for Save the Children

A Journey Through the Sacred Valley

Taking a break from market analysis, this note shares a personal milestone from June 2024, when I travelled to Peru to trek Machu Picchu and looked out across the Sacred Valley.

Supporting Save the Children

The inspiration for the trek began after seeing Save the Children’s moving “Tomorrow” campaign, which highlighted young children waking up on a petrol station forecourt at dawn in South America.

  • The Mission: Recognising that not all children receive the same safe start in life that our own families are fortunate to have, I committed to supporting their cause.
  • The Result: The trek successfully raised over £5,000 to support Save the Children’s ongoing charitable work.

Photos and Reflections
